H&R returns for 2024 on April 6th. A record number of 15 teams will take part in this early season event to mark the start of the events 11th year.
Aimed at new and development teams, the event aims to provide an opportunity for new players recruited over the winter a chance to come out and play on the dirt fields at Farnham Park. Since hitting 10 years, the event now runs twice a year, giving the teams a chance to get some early season practice in, followed by an later edition to help gauge how the season has gone and to give players who’ve come in over the season one final chance to play.
The last edition of the event in September 2023 was won by the Rattlesnake Rattlers, who are back this April to defend their title.
The first edition of 2024 sees a number of new teams entering for the first time, as well as regulars coming back but with two teams, London Raiders and the Bombers from Swindon to name two. Blitz Softball have entered two as well as B-Sides and Bat to the Future are coming for the first time.
It’s going to be an exciting post-Easter event to kick start April.
