Our return to action for week 13 of the WMSL Indoor Season was a mixed one. We had two games against the TV Hurricanes and the Reading Blue Sox.
First up were the Hurricanes, who started the evening below us in the table but following their win in the evening’s first game moved ahead of use by 2 points. This was a real close game that went down to the final second of the final inning. We’d held a lead going into this inning, but couldn’t quite hold on and we fell to a narrow 23-21 defeat.
Our second game was against the team currently at the foot of the table, the Blue Sox. Following our first game defeat, we now sat 5 points off the top 4, so we needed a good win to narrow the gap,
We played a good solid game this time around and with good batting backing up good defense we ran out 30-22 winners.
With 4 games of our season left we may not challenge for the title this season, but a top 4 finish is well within our grasp. We are back on the diamond on March 12th
