The 2024-25 CWS Indoor Series can to it’s exciting conclusion on Sunday (23rd). Going into this finale, Storm Ladies lead the series table with Twister Sisters 2nd and MK Diamonds 3rd. The second round of fixtures resulted in Twister Sisters topping the league table and taking the top seeding into the final games. MK Diamonds, took the second spot and in doing so they, along with the Sisters, closed the gap in the series on Storm.
The series came down to the semi-final results. If Twister Sisters made the main cup final, they would secure the title, any other result would allow MK to nip in.
In the end, the Sisters, moved into the final where they met the Diamonds. The best two teams on the day would fight it out for the cup.
The game went the full 3 innings, with the Sisters coming out on top 22-19 to take both Cup and Series. The Diamonds for this year, had to settle for the runners-up prize on the day and in the series, where they beat out the morning series leaders, Storm Ladies thanks to the their head-to-head meeting. It could not have been closer, they drew 17 all in the first game back in November and the Diamonds won 13-12 in the reverse fixture.
An exciting end to another great indoor series and real scrap involving the top 3 teams. Next up, the three event outdoor series, where these rivals can lock horns once more.
