The TV Twisted Sisters are the 2023-24 CWS Indoor Series Champions. Coming into the day second in the table behind Storm, they need a good day and to beat their rivals in the return fixture.
Both teams lost in the round-robin to the Barbarians, entering for the first time, but it was TV who came out on top in the league fixture 21-12. That result along was only good enough because Storm draw their second game in the series in an earlier round.
The trophy phase of the event saw the unbeaten Barbarians take on the Bombshells, while Storm and TV played again. Barbarians overcame the Bombshells and would take on Storm who gained slight revenge in the series with a Semi-final win.
The Bombshell defeat in the cup moved them into a Plate semi-final against the Reading Blue Ballers. Having come bottom in the league table, the Blue Ballers produced an inspired performance to set up a Plate final with TV.
The Cup final had a final surprise, the unbeaten Barbarians lost out to Storm, who took away a winners Cup to go along with the Series Runners-up. TV won the Plate to go along with their Series title.
The 2023-24 Series is in the books. The 2024-25 Series will resume in November.
