We started our 2026 Indoor League campaign with a split record of 1-1. Both games were very close as we played extremely well.

First up we played the Reading Blue Jays. We were slow off the mark in this one, in fact we trailed right up until the last inning. Batting first, we only managed 4 runs in the first inning and going into our second bat trailed by 3. That increased in the second inning, although we managed to score 7, the Blue Jays scored 8. A huge final inning helped us move ahead as we hit 11 and the fielded to concede just 4 to run out 22-19 winners.

Our second game was closer still and like game 1, we trailed after both the 1st and second innings. We did, however, score more heavily, 10 then 5, but conceded 12 and 8 respectively. We were still in the game and while down, but 5 we scored 10 to move 5 ahead. But right at the end the Rattlesnakes added 6 and took the game 26-25.

All things said, to start the season 1-1 is for us a good start. We are often slow starters in the league, but we got that first W on the board early.

Next games are 26th November.
